Strange how North african earrings (Aures/Algeria, Tunisia/Egypt ) look like nose rings......Easy to confuse. Thanks God for old postcards. Beautiful piece.
I thought the very same when I saw the Tunisian earrrings that Harald posted recently!.
beautiful !!!, how do you know is for the nose?? Afghan earrings look much like this.
The truth is that they are sometimes quite similar to errings. I guess that the hook is somewhat simpler than that of an earring, there is usually no fastener ort clasp and the hook does not usually has a "full" length. Lastly but not less important I have had the benefit of seeing some of this or very similar kind identified as such.
I missed on an opportunity to obtain this piece. Are you willing to sell it? I love the design.
