I think it is very lovely! ( and secretly, I love the damaged pendants)
Me too, Patti. It`s just that I feel that, from the point of view of kids inheritance etc., I should try to find replacements. Personally I value the strength of that nielloing reflecting the Ait Serrouchen character. No twiddly bits here!
I am glad your kids want to inherit your stuff, I think mine a scared to death of what they will get themselves into once I leave this place. I keep telling myself that I must make records and name all of the jewels that I have, but that isn't half the fun of cruising around the net and traveling and adding to my already too too much collection.
It is truly lovely Frankie, is this silver or metal like mine?? Don't worry about the broken pendant that shows how old and original it is.
Well girls at least you have kids who inherit your stuff, sometimes I wonder what will happen with mine when it is my time to go......like Patti I have no decent records of them, always think I must do that.
Ha, ha, more pleasant to think about something than to do it, imo. I think I am a bit hyperactive, everytime I sit down to do something that is serious and necessary, I get up and do something which is frivolous and silly. My age, I guess.
I know what you mean, just can't get myself start doing it......has nothing to do with age ;)
I think if the right replacements were to be found then the dealer in MArrakech would have found them......... my thinking is to leave them like this.
Sx
Yes, I had thought Abril would`ve already found them. But sometimes people in this site come up with some very different contacts. But maybe I will leave them anyway. It`s a record of what happens.
M-A, they`re quite thickly patinaed metal. Did you clean yours?
No Frankie did not clean mine as it was not neccesary, are yours very dirty? try a gentle cleaning with a toothbrush and soap first.
I have tried the gentle approach. It had no impact whatsoever! Think I might just leave it as it is. It feels as though it`s thinly coated with hardened body oils. It`s quite nice to have the previous owners` legacy with me.
