Ethiopian Leather amulette - 2

On one of the rolls, one side is open, it looks like this. As written below in the comment part of photo 1, there are text rolls inside either goat leather or pergament, containing either Bible verses or magic verses for protection. The language is Ge-ez, an old Ethiopian language used mainly for religious documents.

    as written under picture 1, these rolls contain either texts from the Bible, or magic verses / drawings to protect its owner. Here is another such example (photo by the seller, I have not opened mine).

  • No, it is not in the Rietberg catalogue, I have never seen such a bracelet being Tuareg! As said, my husband said it is Peul.
