  • It is the first time I see a picture of one of these. I could not find it in books. So it was hard for me to figure out how it was worn when I bought one last year.

Do you think the very long pleats are worn in front of the face like a veil as you state? Not at the back of the head like some Usbek lady's have "fake" plaits at the back?

  • I think some one told me that when they collected it they were worn in the front but it is not 100% sure. The person was speaking French I got it from so I didn't also write the information down but this is what I remember. Seems to me though it could be either way as the design seems to indicate it is a tail instead of the front.  I have also never seen these published before. They came out and then I never saw them in the US ever.  Are these still around to be found ?

  • No, they are not around. I got mine  lucky by chance, I just liked the textile and later on figured out what it was.
