'Alınlık' (forehead ornament) for women, from Central Anatolia. Late-Ottoman, ca. 1925. Consisting of a silver chain (length 16½ cm) with two hooks at its ends, and ten late-Ottoman coins (most of them dated A.H.1325 / 1907). To be attached to a felt hat, or to a heavy headscarf, by means of the two hooks. (Inv.n° müç031 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
