Though not jewelry, I found this piece to be particularly mysterious and thus warrant posting. Any ideas?

  • I don't know, but the the design on the back resembles a menorah at hanukkah with nine branches. It is lovely.

  • The crosses; Maybe Ethiopia? Coptic? Christian
  • I thought that too.  There are also elements that look Turkoman to me as well as others that look Bedouin from the Gulf States.  The cross designs are applique, some with calico.
