A different style and a unique idea of making such design. I wonder whether this is an old piece or crafted lately?
I have seen India women in the north wear these for anklets and not real sure abt age but know its a style used for a long time among the tribes
Sherry is right, it is one of a pair of anklets from India (Rajasthan) but broken at the closure part. The are wax casted, very clever because the links ( of mine ) are very supple.

I can do the repairs to these ,, I have had to do some clasp repairs and thank the Lord for hardware stores
