  • I love these too. they are worn by HAUSSA people i guess but one can find many related outfits in style all over west african regions that have had islamic influences

  • Have always wondered whether the Romans had embroidery on their toga(s).............and if so what they would have looked like (apart from the well known red band, signs of class/social status.). Difficult to detect embroidery on scuplture or mosaic representations.......Cant remember whether Pompei remaining  paintings  give any clue........Anyone has any idea?
