Have Google-ed it. Very interesting. But various blogs/posts not sure about current function. looks like the hotel is closed (apart from parties of viditors), .Another mentions artists colonies... Had never heard of it before. Seems quite romantic with an interesting history.

it was a famous hotel in Sahara. now, it is a cultur center. there is also the same decoration in the old houes, mosques.
the geometric is verry interesting. i have wood ,leather and jewelry from Mauritania with the same samples.
we find the semilitude in jewelry, carpets,plats.... from south marocco west sahara and mali until the south ashanti area
Quite. Similar patterns in a vast area. The walls reminded me of the pattern of my ceremonial/ornamental spoon and fork (you remember when you said that the Tuaregs were not using forks?).
yes , of course i remember :-) in general,not only touareg dont use forks.
the gabel found place on the tables specialy 19 th century in europe. yes the walls have the same carving. if you look at south marocco ,west sahara , mauritania jewelry for exmple. there is all the samples here.
there is in a private old house i timimoun with 7 rooms and long floor, the biggest collection of this carving. each square meter is different. in another many houses too
