this is from Kerala south of India.these big bowls are used for cooking holy food in temples of Kerala. these are made up of eight metal (Ashtadhatu) brass,gold,silver,copper,tin,zinc,iron,mercury.these are considered to bring prosperity and the mix is considered very holy.this is a old piece.it does not come in jewellery but its like jewellery for the place we live in.
