two very old hairpins from Tigray, Ethiopia

another additon to my hairpins, they are very old and arrived very dirty. the colours are not good on the pic, the simple one has an upper part that Looks like silver, the needle like brass, the round one has a base of brass-nickel (?), the top is some alloy, probably once guilded. sizes approx 9 and 8,5 cm.

this is the backside - the round one Looks like a telsum box of the round type. The sides and the top of the box seem to be different from the base. (base brass, other parts are White metal).
