@Chantal thank you. I really do not know - and my source did not know either.... in fact, with that one (the twisted one) we do not know where it originally Comes from (which part of Ethiopia or which ethnical Group). The other ones are usually Tigrini hairpins.

thank you Betty. I also bought some ALuminum pieces, not so highly valued here, but they are genuine ones, worn and used...... among them a bracelet, and believe me, some reddish dust (sand) was still on it! Ok, I did clean it in the meantime...... but now I feel almost a bit sorry that I did. (I do admire shiny and clean pieces more than dirty ones, but thinking it had reddish earth on it, made me a bit sorry after).
