The back of the amulet is interesting. The silver used is taken from a plate previously engraved with flowers, quite unlike Turkomen jewellery. Maybe a spare piece of silver the jeweller had found, an offcut from another jewel.

Thanks Betty. It was found in Afghanistan but probably came originally from Turkestan.
