fabulous detail. Never saw this work before. Are there costume books published? very interesting!
Fantastic craftsmanship. A little like some Indian work I have. Love to learn more.
Linda, the very best book on Tunisian costume is unfortunately out-of-print. It is called "Les Costumes Traditionnels Feminins deTunisie". The book contains a series of watercolors of costume for each region of Tunisia. I was lucky enough after much searching to find one on-line, but it was not easy. There are also many excellent photo books published in Tunisia with traditional Tunisian costume, but unfortunately they are not available outside Tunisia.
Cute!
Hi, well I will keep radar up now that I know about these items. How about becoming a book dealer!
I seem to have come across one book I have called North African Textiles by Christopher Spring and Julie Hudson but that's it for me. Has a few things from each region but not alot on Tunisian. I have not looked at this book in a while though so it's interesting to see things I never paid attention to before.
