A traditional bridal costume from Balıkesir town (& nearby villages). Late-Ottoman style, 1930-1940s. Set up around a reddish pink silk robe, adorned with large roses in golden thread embroidery, golden spirals & copper sequins; white silk threads connect the sequins, creating branch-like motifs (a technique called 'Balıkesir pullusu' = with sequins, of Balıkesir).
