  • Nice branches!
  • I think that this sumptuous piece is going to need a matching pair of earrings!  I love this combination and could just "eat" those old branch coral beads!
  • Thanks Hillary! I have enough of the coral branches left to do one more necklace. It is really difficult to work with because the branches go in all directions and things get pretty wild.  I had a hard time photographing this as well. The color is really hard to capture.
  • This type of coral is VERY hard to find in Morocco now.  I'm very glad that I hoarded some away.  I used to collect those "skunk" beads in Morocco too.  Is this one for you or to sell?  If you are selling, you should get a hefty price for it.  Amber, both Malian and Moroccan is up to almost $10 per gram! I understand about the color being difficult to capture, we have that problem all of the time when selling on line and have to add a disclaimer that resolutions differ and will make the coral appear, well, different.
  • These coral beads are so old that they have a rich patina. The skunk beads are nice and worn as well.

I think I will hang on to this one for awhile.
