Dear Peter, the decoration on this neckband is quite unusual.... It matches another neckband which is similar to yours in Kalter's book on the Arts and Crafts of Turkestan. He attributes it to the Qara-dashly group... although he is not absolutely sure.... in the border area between Iran and present day Turkestan. Exciting and unusual piece.
Simple but very strong presence.
Very good piece
Very nice piece. Is there any traces of fastening for pendants?
