  • This is very interesting that you should have this. A girlfriend of mine was cleaning out her parents' house and , knowing that I travel to Morocco, brought me a couple of leather and gilded book covers , not as fancy as this, but definitely going back more that 60 years since her father brought them home from Morocco in WWII. Yours are much more elaborate, but I am glad to know more about mine. I will try to post a pic of them soon.

  • Patti, I collected all of mine very cheaply on eBay. Seemingly they are not particularly valued. A crime in my book although I`ve no wish to bump up the market! It`s possible that some are of a later date but the bag currently in Faouzi`s possession is definitely from the 1920s. Its` provenance was traceable.

    I`m looking forward to seeing your examples.

  • Hmm, I thought that mine were book covers, but now I see that they could be considered bag accessories.
