  • recently, i have had the chance to confirm that these rings with side dangles were used as cenrtal pieces of headbands along with other rings.

as hillary once noticed, rings used this way would bear lead or non precious metal soldering between bezel and ring while finger rings would have neat, finished silver soldering
  • That makes sense to me that they would have been used as a head or hair ornament.  As with an earlier group of enameled rings shaped like eggs, (whom have since vanished from the market , had several but sold them anyway those also were used in the hair. I will look on the other side to see soldering. 2463461141?profile=original Also direction of fringe doesn't really make sense for a finger ring even though I wear it as one, so being a headdress ornament is more accurate to use.  It is also very large and I doubt locals would wear such a big ring.
