This is gorgeous Angelo! Peter
thanx Peter …Syria,, Iraq ..Iran ???
A Syrian chain i recognize and dangles
Dear Angelo; I was thinking about it, too and would say the following: Same as you, I would allocate the chain to Syria or the Levant, which Syria is a part of. I would allocate the container to Iran (I have seen similar pieces of Persian origin) and therefore, believe that this wonderful piece could originate from Kurdistan. Kurdistan is covering areas in Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran. By the way, I just love the connections between the center of the container and the side chains - simply magnificent and VERY rare! All in all a wonderful and very rare piece to be cherished! With kind regards. Peter
