A digital archive showcasing the extensive collection of jewellery and adornment images shared on the former Ethnic Jewels Ning site over the years. These images have significantly enriched discussions on cultural adornment and its global dispersion.

This armband is recently made, but so successfully that more than 200 people voted for it (by clicking "like") as the most popular object ever on Truus and Joost Daalder's Facebook page "Ethnic Jewellery and Adornment" recently. The piece belongs to the fine shop "Palm Beads" in Melbourne. Many people here will know that, and be familiar also with our friend here on "ethnic jewels", Cam Knuckey, one of the people working at Palm Beads. Congratulations to Cam for the impact this armband makes on people who have had the opportunity to see a great many other wonderful pieces on "Ethnic Jewellery and Adornment", which now has more than 4500 "fans".

  • It is a very well chosen piece from the many recent Moroccan pieces available - one of well above average beauty, and this obviously resonates with a considerable number of people. The judgement does not imply that individuals might not like something else yet better, but as a group they show a solid consensus in feeling a strong urge to express their approval of the quality of this, which I think is very interesting, and a credit to its maker.

  • verry beautiful and intersting piece. some how, it looks kabyl for me
