This is a real gem, Lynn. It must be quite large with so many of those beautiful amulets. And, interestingly, the two upper smaller ones are slightly differently patterned although they all belong to the same family. I absolutely love the pom-poms. The shell pendants are really unusual.
It looks like a rare item. It is very interesting and also beautiful. The decorations were pressed from the inside out?...very interesting not being engraved?.. All the components look very old and original . Congratulations for this piece...

A lovely piece indeed, and it was interesting to see how identification progressed on Facebook when you posted it there. I did feel that it was very probably Pakistani - instinctively; but I could not get much further than that. Good thing you had others to make the ID very specific. That now happens so often, particularly if you go to more than one website! I have been blessed with luck several times, when similarly asking for help.

@Chantal, I am really pleased you are enjoying it. This is from an estate sale where the deceased had a small collection of mostly Pakistani jewelry from Kashmir, Sindh, Swat, and Multan. An eBay seller bought the collection and sold it on eBay in August.
@Mustafa, I think you are right, they were pressed with a die. On Facebook a commentor showed a very old die belonging to his father with a similar design.
@Thelma, yes this piece is quite large but not too heavy as a fairly thin silver sheet was used in constructing the amulet boxes. I agree the little shell dangles are charming, I have them on another amulet box necklace that may also be from Pakistan, or if not North India.
