Silver Smith Utensil - Jordan

This copper jug is an oil lamp, used by a silver smith to heat up the metal. This particular piece was given to me by an elderly dealer and was used by his father, who was a silver smith. However, with the promise that if I ever arrange a book of my silver jewelry, it should be pictured, highlighting its origin. I shall of course do that with pleasure!

  • very nice piece of history. it is used with a lond and thin in L form copper straw piece. together they form a sort of burner for heating and soldering
