Woman's buckle, late-Ottoman, from Cyprus, ca. end of 18th c. Silver-gilt filigree with silver-gilt sheet edging, set with red and green pastes. Shaped like stylised tulips, a favourite Ottoman motif. With bars of silver-gilt plated metal on the back. (© V&A, London).
