  • What is the "lining" made of? So beautiful is the inside and on a necklace it will never been seen, like with some Yemeni beads.

  • The bead end and lining is made with gilt copper and then there is also silver as an edging. I believe this bead to be quite old.  If you look at old photos of the high llamas with large beads on , some of these are ivory, some are amber.. they are very old as per writings about these jewels, which were kept in the Palace. Some as early as 13th -14th c  I have a feeling this is 17th or 18th c but it's possible that it's older.
