Afghanistan produced lots of interesting lapis jewellery like this, before and during the recent conflicts, using the more interesting mottled or streaky lapis combined with simple shapes, metal components, beads, etc.
Thank you for the comment. I wasn't sure where it came from. I am not a fan of this piece except for the wooden and metal beads. The lapis does not speak to me.
