Bridal headgear. Rural, from the Konya-Karaman region, 1925-1950. The heavy cap (‘paralı fes’ = hat with money) is made of cotton and 420 late-Ottoman & early-Republican coins (silver, nickel, copper). (Kavak Costume Collection-Antwerpen/Belgium).
