Lovely, Toya! Thanks a lot for posting them! Interesting to see that some have a double stringing hole.
Do you know where the vintage necklace was made?
Any Idea from where? I do not recognize these pinkish teints also the shapes are not from the East Africa area.(Ethiopia especially). I am very curious, they definitely show live and beauty. Lovely beads Toya. Eager to hear more.
Betty and Ingrid-Some of the beads are from Morocco and some ( the double drilled ones ) from Mauretania. The actual beads were probably made in Europe and traded in to Morocco. The color is a rich caramel. The vintage necklace I guess to be made in Morocco for sale to visitors, not for tribal use. However the necklace is similar to others sold throughout the Middle East, so I am not sure.
