This was tested by a Jewler and it tested 14k and 18k gold. Does anyone know more about it?Thanks

  • Well, the clenched fists are called "mano fico " in Italy, but the symbol is known to other places. Where are the coins from?
  • I ll second Edith here for Italy. Penca de balanganda is the Brazilian word for remotely similar jewels, yours is a regular European chatelaine.

    However now that i mention it, it could be that European Chatelaines were the original pieces that Slaves from brazil transformed or copied into Penca de Balanganda!!
