Part of Turkoman Tekke headjewellery

part of Tekke canne (or cenne) Tekke tribe headjewellery; silver, fire gilded, carnelian stones. Endpiece of a longer item, originally fastened on the headscarf börik. Piece is12,5 cm=5 inch. without pendants. Picture on page 175 of the book Alter silberschmuck der Turkmenen, Dieter und Reinhold Schletzer. The pendants on this piece are not authentic,on this place original little chains and gilded ornaments with stones made a chaindiadem from about 35 a 40 cm. It 's a pity a lot of large Turkoman jewellery pieces are broke and cut in pieces to make them more saleable.
