  • Gosh Sarah reading your article I could taste the atmosphere and your excitement and expectation and the defeated feeling. But a learning process to learn how these pieces lay in the serious collector,s market.
    But....when you returned home you were in bed with a serious cold? Enjoyed your adventure,, Thank you,
    Gr. Ingrid.
  • Just read it, it does Sound very exciting! Also liked the photos! Especially that round pendant, I had never seen before. Thanks for sharing your experience, loved reading it!

  • Good read, Sarah! Thanks.

    I was shocked to read that the Sirouan headdress, which went at a steep price, was a composite of various elements. Were these elements true to style or were they a mix? Why would such a piece command such a price?

  • A lovely experience i had the chance to share with Sarah

    @Preethi:

    The headress was so old that it received fixing at some stage of its early life and in a ethnic context.

    No harm in it and actually it becomes much more humane in a sense that before seing it in real life i did oncsider it as an fairy tale!!

  • Fascinating. And thanks for sharing
  • Thank you, Sarah - a great and intense description. Almost as good as being there.........almost.........

  • I'm so sorry you didn't bring anything back Sarah. Wish I could have been there. Hope someone from EJ was successful in the bidding. Can imagine the atmosphere ... the combination of excitement and heartbreak! Where did the collection come from?
