Old Tunisian Coins

The lids of these tiny pill boxes are made from old Tunisie 10 Franc (ca 1934) and 5 Franc (ca. 1936) coins. The same type of coins also are often found on old "glada" necklaces and other Tunisian jewelry. The side shown is marked with an insignia of the Bey. The other side indicates the value of the coin.
