Well isn.t that stunning, exactly the shape of the one Peter placed for viewing yesterday from Turkey. I believe. On this photo it shows up a bit of green or is that some silver erosion? Very nice, I like the sturdiness and style. So good to see the two what can be done with a basic shape.
Thank you Silver lover!. A good piece of collectable silver. GR. Ingrid.
Very lovely, indeed, silver lover! The green/blue bits look like glass beads to me, Ingrid.
Could it be Bulgarian as well? I am sure Peter will comment...
Very nice! Looks like there is real filigree work in the center: a nice touch.
Thank you for your comments ladies. Yes, its like Betty mentioned, they are more blue ish beads. Lets hopw Peter has some ideas and he would share them with us. Br
Dear All; To me this belt buckle looks definitely Turkish. I have seen this type of buckles before and they were always allocated to Turkey. I am sure that the buckle is very large and the filigree center piece is definitely the best sign for it. I like it very much especially also since the center is gold plated - very special. When you clean it, it will shine like nothing else. The blue beads are of course there to ward off the evil eye. A very nice piece indeed! With kind regards. Peter
Thank you for ahring the imformation with us Peter. Much appreciated. Br
I have seen one same published in a book on Syrian pieces and it is influenced by the Ottoman. this is from the area of Aleppo, worn by men.
