Niello Bracelets - North Jordan-Syria

These bracelets were worn in the north of Jordan and Syria. I assume that they were made in Syria. The bracelets at the front feature the signature of the maker or a verse.

    Very beautiful cuffs. Since my visit to the Caucasus I have come to be a great fan of niello work. 

    Sadly, its a dying technique. This type of bracelets is really wonderful and not very often seen.

    Nice bracelets indeed. Niello work is very simple yet beautiful. I believe those kind of bracelets are made in the city of Deir El Zoor in Syria
