  • Phenolic amber never looked so good! Those are gorgeous beads! Is this your creation?

  • Thank you, Toya. Yes, I put it together.

The fun part was gathering the constituent parts. The double-drilled "amber" was from Anna of Dorje Designs, the silver Moroccan-made head pins from Hillary on this site , Alqator on eBay. In Marrakech Faouzi supplied the filigree dangles and Fouzi & Abril the end beads.

This type of Noro silk/cotton is discontinued but is still available on eBay.

  • Very beautiful combination of silver and amber, Frankie! Must look stunning when worn - you did a great job there!

  • Thank you so much, Betty.

I have to admit that I have not yet worn it. I will have to choose the occasion for doing so with care as it`s large and really heavy. So perhaps not suitable for wearing while shopping - I can imagine that too many items would be knocked of shelves if I did!

  • What a wonderful necklace! The purple contrasts so well with the amber. Thank you for mentioning the suppliers - so useful for me as a new member to this forum!

  • Thank you, Charlotte. Looks like you`re enjoying this site. A belated welcome to it. We are so lucky to have it! Best wishes from the snowy, windy Pennines to Oxford.....not too far.

  • Wonderful creation. And beautiful array of colours. A great success. You should carry on..

  • Thank you, Chantal! I do enjoy doing it but I find the lack of availability to me of good constituents hampering. Do you know if any of the London markets could be a source?

  • No I dont (as I am not creative at all), and it is a very specialised area.... Also I spend my life on ebay.....But two internet sellers (amongst others) sell  interesting elements...Antikasparas and Fakrun (Robert) . And also Africa Direct. You probably know them already...Good luck.

  • @C. Thanks. Yes, I`ve found those sellers very helpful. Have to admit - I find

    eBay addictive!
