  • Oh my! What are the woven cords made of?

  • these were silk

  • The cords look like they may originally be an item of clothing , possibly a belt or the cord used around the shoulders to hold up sleeves

  •  It is possible as they look same as that type. I had two othe ones with cords like this in the past, mine that I kept and another one that had enameled tagamount egg beads  I have seen several published like this with this kind of tassel on the back. 

  • This is for someone else, so to speak - too loud for me personally! (Not a criticism, just a personal reaction.)

  • To be more specific, I don't personally like the addition of the cords, as they distract my attention from the (more normal) core of the necklace. But then, it is interesting to see such combinations, all the same!
