Mystery Pendant

South Asian or Eastern Gulf States? It has an Islamic feel to it with the eight-pointed star and crescent moon. It measures about 9 cm wide and is a made of a high grade silver.

    That's what I'm thinking- South Asia or possibly the Gulf.

    It has some construction techniques and looks similar to some pieces from South Asia, though I am not really sure and that is why I'm asking for assistance with identification :-)
