  • Ayis, please see my comment on the front part of this piece. The necklace as a whole confirms what I said there. These are - or at least almost all of them - extremely ancient beads, and very good and attractive. All Baltic, and it is not really possible, we would think, for anyone to say where they were put together in this format. They have probably been re-cycled for centuries. It is POSSIBLE that several of these have also been together for quite some time, as a number of them seem to "match". But one cannot very easily read a consistent design into the ensemble, and the more or less heart-shaped pendant at the bottom seems to be rather an oddity, though old and appealing. Very good stuff, anyway!
