I do not know its actual provenance. I have seen some similar pieces described as from Foum Zguid and used by the Tata, Akka. They can either hang from fibulas or used as temple ornaments.

  • What a nice set, Harald. It is great. My piece is not a box. There are no traces of any section being removed. That is why I think that it is likely that it was never devised as box or some sort of container.
