I love what you did with all these treasures!
Thanks Toya, I had fun making it and old silver is such a pleasure to work with.......
Ann,what about Ethiopia? The long bead(kobbo) and the fillegrain bead beside it could very well be Ethiopian.
Ingrid hi, I believe the long silver bead is Yemen, and the longish granulation bead is new and I would think is Indian. Silver beads do travel within Africa, so can't be 100% certain.
Thanks Akkie, its really a simple design and I think the amount of silver helps to make it look quite stunning.
Old silver and lapis. Yummy! What a great combination, Ann.
Quite right Ann, beads do travel. Also from Ethiopia.
I agree with Ingrid, the long bead could as well be Ethiopian. But it's often hard to tell for sure whether or not a piece of jewellery is from Yemen or the Horn when the particular style exists in both regions.
Just my cup of tea! Beautiful pendants and I love the way they are assembled.
