How do you make difference between mongolian and late Qing chinese jewels!!!!
I feel that similarities are startling between the two styles!!
The particular styles are worn by differing groups.. It is also the shape of beads and silver marks.. Most of these necklaces were made up in the 70's for export with beads and parts that were in ware houses collected during the cultural revolution. These were never worn this way although this one above May have been.. but most of the ones I have sold as commercial good wearible were all made up. I have only had one really great old Mongolian necklace which when I get the trani's converted will post.. One only. they are very rare.
