made of alpaca. my first pieces of jewelry i ever bought. found them at the antique market in bejing in 2002 when i just started collecting. although made of non-precious metal, the design is very nice and intricate and much better made than more recent versions.

  • Yes, I agree, howah - nothing wrong with their being alpaca (the German word) or "paktong" (which I personally prefer!). It is a perfectly traditional and useable alloy - a good Chinese invention. And you are also wright to state that there has been a rapid decline in recent years, in manufacture/design (both, really, I feel).
