really fascinating to see that some of this very scarce work have been preserved. too bad it is in gilt copper, some early pieces were solid gold from the central oases of Mauritania (mainly beads)
Could it possible to know from where you have purchased this necklace at first (morocco?)
I purchased it from a friend who deals and lives there part time in Marakesh and part time in the US. He deals in something other than jewerly but knew I would like it. He has picked up good things for me.
I certainly would have gotten more for it if it had been gold but I think it's more interesting being made so well in such a metal. i like it for that reason.
