  • That looks very interesting, what is it? Can it be opened?
  • Ok, I saw now the description, perhaps I was too fast in asking the question.... thanks anyway
  • yes, it can be opened. I'll post more photos of it soon.
  • Wonderful! The chain is amazing!
  • I agree both Lingam and chain are different than frequent seen ones, very nice indeed, do you have a shop or is all privat collection?
  • The lingam is beautiful but can you tell me anything about the chain? How old is it and is this work still being done. I ask because I have a length of similar chain which has been made into a simple choker. Now I realize that it may have come from an old piece that was cut apart and re-purposed. Thanks.  -Suzan
  • Marie-Ange:This item is from my private collection. I have a stall at several antique markets held once a month in Northern Italy: Milano, Genova, Brescia, Padova are the ones I regularly take part in.

Suzan: The item might be 80-100 years old. As far as I know, this type of chain is still made in Delhi.

  • Thank you Roberta, it's a splendid piece!
