    Gorgeous - I agree with Thelma: a very wearable and impressive kind of necklace. Would they traditionally be combined with beads?

    Yes these 'huafers' are normally combined with fairly simple beads, to make them more or less separate .

    Dear Mustafa; This is a nice piece. Is it true that the ladies are breaking off one of the "legs" of a piece when giving birth to a son? This is what I have been told in Evypt.... With kind regards. Peter

    Thanks Peter. That may be true in Egypt as an old tradition. However; I never heard of such custom in Libya. It could be an old one in Libya as well but do not know about...??
