Beautiful Sumaiya, where is it from Indonesian(?)
Beautiful and well crafted silver. It clearly shows history. Very nice
I agree, this is a gorgeous piece, Sumaiya. Congratulations!
Beautiful, the pierced work is wonderful. From Oman?
thank you friends for the nice comment yes it is from Oman
A silver masterpiece, Sumaiya. But how does it work? Where do you put the letters... inside? And then is the letter holder handed to someone? Who would use it? So many questions :))
yes dear the letter will be inside and the passenger will pass the letter it was only using in Royal palaces of the Sultan Ii is for saving the latters so it will be clean and for luxury uses.
Dear Sumaiya, Thank you very much for this information. The letter holder is a beautiful piece and it is doubly interesting to find out how letters were carried in Court many years ago. I can imagine the scene.....
Dear Sumaiya, I have also some questions, I wonder what the measurements are. Also do you think that the letter inside would have been secured with a lacquer seal? Gr. Ingrid.
What a marvellous piece! I had at first overlooked it, but it is a joy to behold - and to read about. Thank you for posting it.
