Largest beads in graduated coral strand

I'm being offered these by a trader in south India, but am unsure about the holes in them. Would love your opinions. I'm told the beads are old.

They remind me of Tibetan coral beads. Beautiful!

this is some pretty large beads...though of second quality...inclusions and "black roots"...
