This focal bead is strung on rough carnelian beads with heavy Afghani silver 'swirl' beads.

These carnelian beads have a great patina on them. Do you know the age by any chance? Could they be much, much older than the silver? They certainly appear to be. Maybe one of the bead age experts could answer?
