    Thank you Lynn,Peter and Nada. I love this kind of necklaces and specially the niello inlaid Quran box. I think that this type of work was done by Christian silversmiths , possibly Armanians who have settled in Karak - as well as other Levantian cities -in the late 19th cetury and spread this technique in the the region. Br
