Hello Karim, what is 'karakorum'? I know these beads as Kazak from northern Afghanistan. It looks like a picture from my house! :-)
Hi Kim
I bought them along the Karakorum HIghway (Gilgit) which goes from Pakistan to China and was told they were local. Later found at different traders' stores and always were referred to as Gilgit Beads. who knows the truth?
cheers k
